Home Sweet Home | Styled House Warming Party

Any event that we get to be a part of is special to us, but especially so when it's for one of our own.  We were so excited to celebrate the house warming party for our very own Cari and her husband Adam's first home! They had such a great time designing and creating their dream starter home together, located in the heart of The Nations of West Nashville. That process called for a major post move-in celebration, and we couldn't have been more excited to share the night full of fun, feasting, and celebrating with several of their closest friends!

Come On In!

We love collaborating with other bloggers any chance that we get, so we got our favorite Nashville fashion blogger, Holly of MyScuttle, to style Cari and Adam for their big night. She pulled together some of her favorite pieces from their closet, and came up with a look for the both of them, following the fall colors and direction we were going in for the party.

We had the amazing food photographer, Morgan of Morgan Miller Photography, capture all of the event details. Cari and Adam love spending time together cooking in their new kitchen, and they had a great time cooking up the yummy treats and sweets. Food is a major staple at any party that we throw ourselves, so that was one of the major planning aspects of this event. Sweets just happen to be our favorite thing, so we made sure to have plenty of options for any sweet tooth craving. We felt a little bit like caterers for this event, and we loved every minute. Our mix master hubs worked together to create cocktails for all of the guests, which were also a major hit.

The night was a success, and we are looking forward to many more parties at the Suttle home!
Congrats Adam and Cari on your new home!

Zach + Elyssa | Styled Outdoor Wedding Reception

We loved being a part of Zach and Elyssa's beautiful outdoor wedding reception! We took their idea for having a mimosa bar and ran with it, creating a vintage setup to go along with the look they wanted for their reception. Their friends gathered after the ceremony in the lounge area that we setup on the patio of one of the beautiful barns at Drakewood, which allowed them to sip their mimosas while chatting and looking through the sweet couple's engagement album and photos. We filled the dining tables with a mixture of mismatched china, gold chargers, brass candlesticks, vintage books, and floral to create the romantic vintage theme that she was going for. The dance floor was placed under the large tree with gold chandeliers hung above to finish off that romantic environment they wanted to see. These two were such a pleasure to work with!
Congratulations, Zach and Elyssa!

Halloween Mad Hatter Tea | Styled 30th Birthday Party

It was a Halloween Mad Hatter Birthday Tea Party for the lovely birthday girl, Mrs. Sarah...aka The Red Queen - we will get to that later! This event is one of our favorites to date, since we got to mix our style with a bit of a Halloween spooky twist. The night was held at the gorgeous Grandale Manor, which made for the perfect tea party setting.
We had the honor of attending the tea party, and we were asked to host a murder mystery game during the tea.  We of course loved that idea, and came up with an Alice in Wonderland themed murder mystery game for all of the guests to play throughout the night. Luckily for us, Sarah's tea party guests were the BEST, and all of them got right into their character! Each guest was given an envelope with their character description upon arriving to the event, and throughout the course of the evening we would give clues leading to the guessing of the murderer, who ended up being Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Sarah is so thoughtful and brought a fun prize from Shineworthy Tea for the winner of the murder mystery, and who doesn't love a fun gift surprise?!
Sarah is the owner of Homestyle Bakery in Antioch, TN, and a true creative genius when it comes to all things sweet! She took our design idea for the cake and created an adorable masterpiece.  Whether she liked to admit it or not, she's also a pretty creative hat maker. Sarah asked that each guest wear their best tea party hat. For Sarah, buying a hat wasn't good enough, so she created her own, and it ended up being our favorite!
The night was perfect, spent sipping tea and munching on the sweets, courtesy of Homestyle Bakery, which we had way too many of. Thank you Sarah, for including us in your birthday celebration! We had such a blast celebrating you and being Alice characters for a night of tea party fun! Happy 30th!
